Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained long enough to answer and manage the correspondence. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, ordinary server and analytics records may capture technical details about the visit:
- Page-view times and the pages opened

- The referring site, when available
- Time spent on visited pages
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics

No Criminal-Record Data on File
St. Croix County Criminal History does not compile, maintain, or sell a personal criminal-record database. It publishes general access information for the St. Croix County Sheriff, Wisconsin Circuit Court, Wisconsin Department of Justice Crime Information Bureau, and Wisconsin Public Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into a third-party criminal profile or consumer report, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the embedded search tools. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and sharing rules govern data submitted through those services. Review the applicable provider policy before entering a query because we do not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to St. Croix County government, Wisconsin court and agency portals, legal resources, or outside search services. After leaving this site, the destination's own privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal information.
An advertising provider may use its systems to recognize activity across websites and tailor ads. That processing occurs under the provider's controls.

Personal information is not sold. Limited data may be received by:

Stat. §§165.83–165.84 govern state criminal-history collection and fingerprint reporting rather than this private site's visitor data. Subject to applicable law, you may:
