NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners offer a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to organize public criminal-record resources for St. Croix County and Wisconsin. It is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.
1. What This Website Is
This is a private reference site, independent of every government office. It does not hold official criminal records, perform an official background check, retrieve files, or submit documents for a visitor.
It identifies custodians such as the St. Croix County Sheriff, Wisconsin Circuit Court, and Wisconsin Department of Justice Crime Information Bureau. Government disclosure is governed by laws including Wisconsin Public Records Law and the CIB collection provisions in Wis. Stat. §§165.83–165.84. Those laws do not turn this private resource into a government portal.
2. Rules for Using This Site
As a condition of access, you must not:
- Use automated scrapers, bots, or similar collection tools
- Stalk, threaten, or harass another person with information found here
- Interfere with site availability or another visitor's access
- Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or account
- Rely on site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
- Violate applicable local, Wisconsin, or federal law
3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
Information obtained here or through a linked service must not be used to threaten, intimidate, stalk, harass, or discriminate. Wisconsin registry information is published for lawful safety awareness. Misuse against a person listed in the Wisconsin Public Sex Offender Registry, including vigilantism or retaliation, is prohibited and may violate law.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Site information and linked tools may not be used to:
- Set insurance terms or assess creditworthiness
- Evaluate a job applicant or worker
- Review a renter or housing application
- Determine eligibility for a license, benefit, or permit
- Make any other decision controlled by the FCRA
A legally regulated check must be obtained from an authorized, FCRA-compliant source. Do not treat any search result reached here as such a report.
5. No Legal Advice
General descriptions of St. Croix County records are not legal advice. A licensed Wisconsin attorney should address how a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement rule affects a specific matter.
6. No Warranties
All content is provided "as is." We make no warranty that:
- An outside search result will be accurate or complete
- Every page is current and free from error
- The service will always be available without interruption
- The website will contain no defect or security weakness
Charges, dispositions, restrictions, and expungement status can change. An apparent gap or old detail is possible, and no page here is an official statement of the Sheriff, a court, or a Wisconsin agency.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
Links lead to government offices, court systems, legal resources, and outside search providers that we do not control. Their availability, content, prices, privacy practices, and results are their responsibility. Review their terms before use.
8. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise identified, the site's text, code, graphics, and logos belong to St. Croix County Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required to copy, alter, distribute, or create derivative material.
9. Limits on Our Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for losses arising from use of the website, its content, or a linked service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims caused by your use of the site or violation of these terms, including related legal costs.
11. Governing Law
Wisconsin law governs these terms. Any dispute concerning use of the site must be brought in a court located in Wisconsin.
12. Changes to These Terms
Revised terms become effective when the updated text is posted to this page.
13. Cutting Off Access
Access may be limited or ended at any time and without advance notice.
14. Severability
If one provision is found invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue. The affected language will be narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.
15. Questions
Questions about these terms may be directed through the Contact page.
